The college enshrines in its vision the ideal of imparting quality higher education adhering not only to national but also international standards. Through effective implementation of the curriculum laid down by the University, the students would be empowered with an education that hones life’s skills and employability and at the same time foster an enduring sense of discipline and single minded dedication to work.
The mission of the college is to have programs that ensure the all round development of its students. The goal in view is an education that transforms young students and equips them to be self-reliant; face challenges in their personal and professional lives: inculcate a value system and help in the quest for excellence; the college endeavors to maintain a learning atmosphere that reinforces the ideals of professional competence and social commitment.
The college offers General and Honors courses in English, History, Sociology, Education, Economics and Political Science in the Arts department. For Commerce, the college offers General and Honors courses in Accounting & Finance and Management.
Unity College is recognized by the Government of Nagaland vide notification No. HTE/5-3/2002 dated 11th Dec. 2007 and is permanently affiliated to Nagaland University vide notification No. NU-CDC/C-52-2007-2801 dated 12th Sept. 2012. The College is recognised by the UGC under UGC section 2(F) & 12B of the UGC Act 1956. The College has recently been accredited ‘B’ Grade by NAAC.
Unity College is located in a spacious and serene environment conducive for learning at Residency Colony, near Nagaland University Residential campus, PWD Area, Dimapur, Nagaland.
