President Reed N. Wilcox spoke about the mission and future of Southern Virginia University to students, faculty and staff members at last week’s all-campus forum. After welcoming students, he made announcements regarding upcoming University projects and new facilities.
Southern Virginia University held its annual Academic Convocation Friday morning, a traditional all-campus gathering to celebrate the University’s faculty and welcome students into the Southern Virginia academic community.
Forty participants recently gathered at Southern Virginia University for Zion’s Camp — a six-day missionary training experience. The camp is designed to help youth, ages 14-18, strengthen their testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ while preparing for missionary service.
Southern Virginia University recently announced the launch of its new online bookstore in partnership with eCampus.com. Available immediately, the virtual store will replace the University’s on-campus bookstore.
Southern Virginia University President Reed N. Wilcox has named Dr. Jeremiah John as provost and chief academic officer of the University. Dr. John succeeds Dr. Scott Dransfield for whom he served as associate provost for the past two years.
