Welcome to Houston Community College.
As one of the largest community colleges in the nation, HCC has served the Greater Houston area for over four decades. We deliver instruction to nearly 70,000 students each semester in more than 300 associate degree and certificate programs. We strive to provide superior academic and technical programs, and our Centers of Excellence focus on being lead institutions in their disciplines.
As chancellor of this great institution, it is my honor and pleasure to work alongside the best and brightest students pursuing higher education and to interact with them on a daily basis.

Our Centers of Excellence align with industry needs by offering high quality education and training with 21st Century tools that will allow students to move on to four-year universities or move right into a job where the hands-on experience they received from us can immediately be put to good use.

We are #1 among all community colleges in providing associate degrees to minorities and #1 in educating international students, with more than 10 percent of our student population coming from outside the USA. Most of our students are in the 19-34 age range but span from 15-60, and 70 percent of our students attend school part-time in addition to working or raising a family.
