he College of Possibilities

In these fast paced times, Harcum can help you build a bridge between who you are today and who you will be tomorrow. Harcum offers two ways to help you accomplish this mission.

You can gain the experience you need to launch a rewarding career in as little as two years.

Take your time and discover and explore things that interest you and gain credits to transfer to a four-year school to complete a bachelor’s degree.

Each pathway has programs geared to the needs of the economy, the workplace, and society. Our curriculum is constantly reviewed to insure that our students are competitive in the marketplace. Our faculty members are friendly and approachable, and teaching is done on a very personal basis. With a student/teacher ratio of around  11 to 1, Harcum faculty get to know each and every student.

The Harcum Experience

Getting Started

College is a time for exploring possibilities, making friends, and enjoying the excitement of being on your own. If you are returning to college after being in the workforce or serving our country in the military, there will be additional challenges and questions.  You may be an online or part-time student who is rarely on campus. To help get the most out of your new experience, Harcum provides one-on-one counseling. Advisors are available to listen to your ideas, sympathize with your concerns, and arrange for additional academic support if you need it.

Beyond The Classroom

Many students look forward to living on a college campus. Harcum has attractive residence halls where a strong sense of community spirit thrives. There are more than a dozen student clubs and organizations where you can discover new areas of interest and develop new skills.

“A very good option for some students, that is often overlooked, is to attend a two-year, private residential college. These colleges often specialize in helping students achieve their full potential, with the goal of either getting an associate’s degree in preparation for a specific career, or transferring to a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree. These colleges offer on-campus residence halls and strong support services.” – Carolyn Lawrence, nationally-recognized independent college admissions expert and consultant, who profiled Harcum College on her admissions website
